Saturday: depart Sydney in the afternoon

Sunday: arrive Yamba approx midday and depart in the evening
The port of Yamba is Australia’s most eastern seaport. The pristine main beach, home to the 100 year old Yamba Surf Lifesaving Club, is a wonderful location to spend a lazy day in the sun, or if you are feeling energetic, climb the lighthouse for unsurpassed views over the Pacific Ocean.

Monday: at sea all day

Tuesday: arrive Percy Isles in the morning and depart in the afternoon
This small group of islands near Mackay is a popular stopover for passing yachtsmen. Visit the beach hut stacked with historic mementoes of these voyages, or simply enjoy the isolation of the pristine beach with Orion and a couple of yachts at anchor.

Wednesday: arrive Hardy Reef in the morning and depart later that morning
Long acknowledged as one of the most stunning spots on the Great Barrier Reef, Orion guests have the privilege of exclusive access to the Hardy Reef floating platform for snorkeling, a ride in a semi-submersible submarine, and the underwater chamber for unsurpassed views of multi-coloured corals and countless tropical fish.

Thursday: arrive Hichinbrook Island in the morning and depart in the afternoon

Friday: arrive Willis Islet in the morning and depart approx Midday
This tiny group of islets in the Coral Sea plays host to voluminous colonies of seabirds and is an important nesting ground for turtles and the site of a remote maritime observation station established over 80 years ago.

Saturday: arrive Cairns in the morning
